​Adaptive design is an innovative approach that allows to conduct a clinical trial more efficiently (with fewer patients in a shorter time) or to increase the probability of demonstrating the effect of the drug. In studies with adaptation, modification of the design or hypotheses is pre-planned based on aninterim analysis of the data.
